So…. Last night I got to visit the beautiful La Cupula Lounge in the picturesque Benalmadena Pueblo.
If you are looking for a relaxing, friendly, chilled out ambience then look no further.
We arrived early, maybe a bit too early (story of my life), however it was great to watch the place unfold throughout the course of the evening.
The venue is set on the edge of the cliff below the pueblo’s old whitewash church and cobbled streets. The view is breathtaking and endless.
The Lounge it self is very relaxed, very shabby chic and rustic. None of the chairs match and all the glasses are different. The tables are set with Moroccan style plates and newspaper place mats, although these are far from practical as they don’t soak up any liquid. Red Wine drinkers be warned!!
The place oozes a calming laid back feeling and everyone of all ages is made to feel welcome.
We ordered starters and main courses. The starters came out bit by bit as did the mains. But whereas in some restaurants this might annoy you, here was different. There is no rushing , no urgency, no need to eat quickly and leave. We arrived at 8pm and didn’t leave until 1am.
Live music played on an elevated stage in a pagoda style platform.
A cocktail bar beneath this was preparing for the many orders of freshly made mojitos they were expecting to sell.
Seating ranged from cosy tables for two, big tables for large parties, bar stools and comfy lounge chairs for the ultimate chill out evening.
This place is a definite must visit when in the pueblo. We will definitely visit again.
Atmosphere, service and general experience was great. If I had one small complaint it would be that someone there needs to learn the art of a good Sangria. After all we are in Spain😎😎😎
